Fast-Growing Texas Company Provides Administrative and Managerial Support for Independent Artists and Record Labels Around the World
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 2007) -Indie Extreme, a Houston-based independent record label management firm that works with musical acts such as folk legend Judy Collins, hit CCM artist Matt Brouwer and GMA Group of the Year The Sonflowerz, has opened an office in the Nashville suburb of Brentwood.
Vinny Ribas, the company’s director of artist and label relations, will oversee the office at 9000 Church St., Suite B103. Indie Extreme, which was founded in 2006, currently represents more than 20 clients, including independent musical acts, record labels, and a distribution company. The firm provides administrative and managerial services such as correspondence, bookkeeping, CD/merchandise fulfillment, marketing, publicity, database development, web site development, management/maintenance, e-commerce management, and the coordination of vendor services.
“We are thrilled to open an office in the Nashville area,” said company CEO Kathy Douglas. “Today, it’s harder than ever for artists to land major record deals or for smaller labels to compete with the budgets of the major labels. Indie Extreme levels the playing field by negotiating collaborative agreements with the same vendors as the big labels, while providing all of the administrative and managerial support our customers need. We are building a 3,000-member network around the globe.”
Douglas also announced that the firm now offers a free monthly IE Expert workshop at its web site, http://www.indieextreme.com. The next on-line session, which will occur at 6 p.m. (CST) Sept. 18 (Tuesday), will feature Dennis Lambert. The hit tunesmith and record producer has written or produced songs for acts such as Natalie Cole, The Four Tops, Glen Campbell, The Righteous Bros, Smokey Robinson, The Commodores, The Temptations, Starship, Santana, and Kenny Loggins.
“Our client list has grown substantially over the past few months, especially in the Midwest and Southeast regions,” Douglas added. “Nashville is ideal because of its central location and growing reputation as an international center for the arts.”
