Houston, TX - Local Americana group JUDAS FEET will be impacting the FOX 26 viewers in Houston and the surrounding areas as they take the Channel 26 FOX ROCKS stage this Friday morning to deliver their very unique style of true Southern Bluegrass and Americana licks, intertwined with heartfelt lyrics that hold a very special message for all who hear them. Music has always been in the hearts of the members of this sibling group which hail from Silsbee, Texas not far from the Texas - Louisiana border, and it is evident to any audience that experiences their music. .
Diana Read, a sophmore at Baylor University, developed an angelic voice in school choir, but found that the limitations of choir music did not quench her thirst for singing before an audience.
Tommy Read, who will be a freshman at Baylor, taught himself guitar at age 11. Inspired by watching his father play and sing songs that he had written, Tommy was convinced that one day he would do the same . Since then he has picked up many other instruments, including piano, mandolin, electric, harmonica, banjo, bass along the way, however the acoustic guitar remains the backbone of Tommy’s musical genius.
The third Read sibling, Hannah, a high school sophmore, quietly behind the closed door of her bedroom taught herself acoustic guitar on a ¾ sized kid guitar. Like Tommy, Hannah has also picked up many instruments along the way, including saxophone, piano, and cello . She has now joined forces with her talented brother and sister in a quest to make real music that blesses and encourages.
…And so evolved JUDAS FEET. Their first release “Not Alone” recorded here in Texas is now available on the Internet and at their live performances
