FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Grady Skelton Releases LIVE SIMPLY Today on indieExtreme

Single Release of “Girl I Love” To Follow March 26 through Gerrieco

Houston, Texas (March 6, 2012) - Grady Skelton has announced a partnership with indieExtreme® and is releasing his sophomore Country/Americana album entitled LIVE SIMPLY* today on newly formed independent label Gamagrass Records. The release of “Girl I Love,”* the second radio cut from the album, will follow on March 26. In addition, the album, recorded at Ray Benson’s Bismeaux Studio in Austin and produced by Clay Corn (keyboard player for Pat Green), will be celebrated at a March 30 CD release show at the House of Blues in Houston.Following the release of “We Like Drinkin,”* the first radio single from the forthcoming album, indieExtreme® took notice of the young star and signed Skelton to their firm.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to work with Grady,” shares Kathy Douglas, CEO indieExtreme®. “His talent as an artist and his skill as a songwriter are evident throughout LIVE SIMPLY. We believe he is one of the fresh and new upcoming artists that will not only impact the Texas Music scene but Country Music worldwide as well.”

indieExtreme® has been serving as a parent label to the independent music industry since 2006, providing marketing, management and administrative services for record labels worldwide. With offices in Houston and Nashville, Tenn., the firm partners with INgrooves Fontana for distribution and retail marketing, along with providing label services such as marketing, publicity, social media management, management consulting, music licensing and online marketing systems to independent labels.

“Once I started getting to know everyone at indieExtreme®, I realized we all had the same vision for my music and career. I’m excited about being a part of such an innovative group; this opportunity helps me take the next step in my career and I’m looking forward to what’s in store for us,” says Skelton.

LIVE SIMPLY is a meticulous collection of songs that are heartfelt, honest and rowdy, displaying a common theme of love and simplicity. All tracks were written by Skelton and produced by longtime friend and supporter Clay Corn of Ryder Media. Corn helps to deliver the songs and the range of emotion of the tracks on the album by featuring piano and baritone guitar blended with unique female harmonies that cleverly capture and showcase Skelton’s best songwriting to date.

“I had a blast making this record with Grady,” says Corn. “It was my job to frame his songs and voice with a sound that complimented what he’s already accomplished which, in my opinion, was laying a foundation for a long and influential career in the music scene.”

Gerrie McDowell of Gerrieco (Dallas, Texas) will head up the radio promotion campaign for Skelton’s “Girl I Love.” This uptempo and upbeat track, which showcases what Skelton says is “a break away from my normal skew on relationships,” will impact radio on March 26.

Making his initial Texas Country radio introduction in the fall 2009 with a self-titled album produced by Rich Brotherton (Robert Earl Keen’s guitar player and producer), Skelton’s previous singles included “Give Up On Me” and “Bad Luck.” “We Like Drinkin’” was released last year on May 1 and occupied the #50 spot on the Texas Music Chart in October.

Skelton, who hails from Bellville, Texas, has shared the stage with many of the greats including Robert Earl Keen, Eli Young Band, Jerry Jeff Walker, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Stoney LaRue, and others. He has played such noted venues as House of Blues, Firehouse Saloon and Armadillo Palace in Houston, Maggie Mae’s in Austin and Brewster Street Ice House in Corpus Christi. Other performances include the All Aggie Hullabaloo at Cowboys Stadium, Austin County Fair, Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, and the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest which serves as the kick-off to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. He recently returned to his college home of Bryan/ College Station, Texas as part of Aggieland’s signature music festival and took the stage at Texas Hall of Fame at the Official Chilifest After Party as well.

LIVE SIMPLY can be found at popular digital retail outlets such as as iTunes, Amazon and Lone Star Music.

Local Texas Artist Deborah Wedekind Enjoys Top Honors on Singer Universe

Local Texas Artist Deborah Wedekind Enjoys Top Honors on Singer Universe

Accepts position as lead singer of The Billie Ledbetter Band and Orchestra

HOUSTON, TX (FEBRUARY 2012) - Local recording artist and performer, Deborah Wedekind, who lives in the North Houston area, is currently featured with a photo, on the Singer Universe website’s home page at: www.singeruniverse.com, as a National Top 5 Vocalist Finalist for January 2012! Her original song, “Psalm on Danny Boy”, placed her in the Top 5 due to Deborah’s beautiful vocals, haunting lyrics and unique arrangement. She also won a Top 5 spot nationally with Singer Universe in their December 2011 Best Vocalist contest, for her unique arrangement of “I Dreamed a Dream”, recently made popular by British singer Susan Boyle. In Deborah’s more Adult Contemporary version, she creates a stunningly beautiful counter melody in the orchestral strings which depict the longing and suffering of the lead character, Fantine, while creating a lighter vocal line that flows “…with much more of a Pop feel” than prior versions.

Deborah recorded her CD, Clear Skies Ahead, which released in November 2011, with Producer, Troy Warren, Jr., at Absolute Sound studios in Houston. Troy ranks Deborah’s CD as his top project in over 30 years of working in sound production. Since its release, here is what This is Kingwood has to say about Deborah:

“…Deborah could and probably should be lumped in more with classic artists like Astrud Gilberto (Girl from Impanema), Peggy Lee, Rosemary Clooney and Lena Horne. She’s that good. Her silky smooth voice stays somehow young and fresh while exhibiting a classically trained experience one can only gain from being, well, that good. If you get a chance to check out one of her local performances, do yourself a favor and make the effort, you’ll be glad you did.”

Additionally, Deborah’s original sexy-Latin arrangement of the classic, “Till There Was You”, is currently in the Broadjam.com Top 10 Latin songs chart worldwide, and on Feb. 19th, 2012, it reached #2 on the Top 10 Latin Jazz world chart. Her “Psalm on Danny Boy” also remains on Broadjam’s Top 10 World Chart, and has been since January 2012. (Broadjam is a site for aspiring singers and songwriters music industry professionals and fans from around the world, and has many thousands of members.)

Deborah is also excited to have been recently asked to be the lead female singer for the Billie Ledbetter Band and Orchestra, Houston’s #1 Dance Band. This will give Deborah many more opportunities to showcase her talents and bring her unique vocals, arrangements and compositions to the greater Houston and South Texas area.

McKnight & Bogdal make the Roots Top 100 charts with new album Zombie Nation

NASHVILLE, TN (JANUARY 2012) – Breaking their way into the Roots Music Top 100 Blues Albums of 2011, Elam McKnight and Bob Bogdal have set the scene ablaze with their new album Zombie Nation. Joining names on the chart such as Gregg Allman, Joe Bonamassa, Buddy Guy, and Eric Clapton himself; McKnight & Bogdal are receiving international recognition and high marks across the board for their vision of the genre. The veteran blues musicians are sparking new life in the genre, leaving fans and newcomers alike with a deep feeling of musical satisfaction. In this innovative album, the duo fuses their passion for the classic Mississippi Delta style with their own interpretation of the hill blues, then pepper it with gritty guitar licks and stuck-in-your-head hooks. Downbeat magazine gave the album three and a half out of four stars, calling it “accomplished.” The record is currently being spun on radio stations around the globe from Illinois to Australia.

The traveling bluesmen began their creative collaboration in 2008. For the next three years they poured their souls and sweat through the hissing amplifiers and microphones, and onto the pages. Zombie Nation was born from thirty years collective experience playing the blues, along with multiple album successes between them. McKnight broke into the music scene with his debut album Braid My Hair which fans and critics acknowledged as a “breath of fresh air.” He followed up with the album The Last Country Store (2005) which earned him chart spots internationally and in the US. He then established himself with Supa Good (2007) which merited an independent music award nomination for “Best Blues Song.” McKnight’s friend and partner Bob Bogdal has been belting the blues through his harmonica for twenty years and running. He began carving out his solo career with the release of Underneath the Kudzu (2005) in which he conjured up the eerie vibes and mystery of the southern delta. Zombie Nation embodies both the classic flavors of the artists, along with a new vision for the future of blues music.

You can purchase the album on their website at www.bigblackhand.com. The physical album is also for sale on Amazon and CD Baby. The duo is booking for the upcoming festival season with Frank Roszak Promotions of Van Nuys, CA as a duo and also as a full band.
